Bún Riêu

Mom’s Recipe:

  1. Mix well 1 small can of spiced minced crab (Sunlee), a half pound or so of ground pork, and 1 egg.
  2. Bring broth to a steady boil. Add the crab mixture by dropping in small chunks portioned by spoon. Add bite sized tomato chunks.
  3. Add additional broth as necessary and season with shrimp paste. Optionally add fried tofu.
  4. Serve in a bowl with vegetables (eg banana flower) on the bottom and rice stick noodle.
